Me: "Would you like some mineral water?"Guest: "Oh no. I don't take mineral water."
Me: "Oh ok. Sure."
Guest: "You know why?"
Me: "Nope. No idea."
Guest: "Because of the fishes."
Me: "Fishes??"
Guest: "Yeah! Because fishes make love in the water!!"
.
Omg.
I love guests like the one above.
Every now and then, I meet guests who are so crazily fun.
.
When I was young, still in Secondary school,
I used to tell myself;
'No matter what, I will never stoop to doing a customer service job. I will get a good job in an office and work proper office hours.'
A few years down the road, I started working in a restaurant because of the good pay.
A job which I had told myself a million, trillion times, I would never do.
Thereafter, it was no turning back for me.
I love working customer services job.
I like working in restaurants.
I like serving and talking to people and seeing them enjoy themselves.
Simply said, I enjoy working in a job where I get to interact with people.
Which is why I choose to move on to working in a hotel.
.
The Front Desk allows me to interact with guests on a higher level.
I love seeing familiar faces of repeat guests.
I love remembering their names without having to look at their profiles.
My hotel allowed me to go even further a step,
making me love working with people more.
Being a small boutique hotel,
I was allowed to work free spiritedly.
Meaning, I could shout greetings and byes to my guests,
even when they are like nearly 10 meters away.
Haha.
Yes, thats what I ALWAYS do.
.
"GOOD MORNINGGG MR ****!!!!",
I'd shout out when they are just only walking down the stairs.
.
"BYEEEE!!! TAKE CARE!!!"
I'd shout out from the Front Desk even when they are already seated in the taxi.
.
I'd walk guests all the way to the MRT station, when I had the time.
Small chit chats with them always made my day.
.
And now in Albisguitli,
to make up for the fact that I can't converse in German fluently,
I made it a point to remember what the repeat guests order.
I bring out orders for them without them ordering.
I see them through the window, head into the kitchen to prepare the drinks,
and bring them out to them when they've just settled themselves.
I LOVE that feeling.
.
My classmates in SIM should already know what my next job aim is.
I said it so many times previously during our school term in SIM.
PR.
PR in a big hotel or casino.
Dang.
I get excited thinking about the job.
.
Customer service jobs are reknowned to be one of the lowest paying jobs.
Why the heck did I fall in love with one of the lowest paying jobs?
So doomed.
I love shopping.
But I earn so little.
:(
.
Fat Ninja brought me this while I was blogging.
My Ninja got so excited over this egg-like thing.
Because he had no idea what was inside.
So cute.
Haha.
.
.
Its small.
And it splits up into 2.
Bottom half contains Stracciatella ice cream.
Yummy.
Ice cream at 445am.
.
.Hidden in the head was a small egg. It was something like the Kinder Surprise. Nothing exciting in the surprise egg. In fact, I don't even understand what it is about. So no pictures of it. Haha.
.
.
Oh ya.
My dinner earlier on.Rostti with cheese and 2 sunny side up eggs.My special order. Was craving for this dish which I last had at Fat Ninja's hotel's restaurant.Cravings.Mmmm...
