So it was down to town for the Luzerner Fest with Fat Ninja and Marco yesterday, with absolutely no idea what the fest was about and only ultimum excitement because of the Raclette cheese.

Went to a tiny chinese restaurant before that where I had some good old duck rice. The restaurant is opened by a family of HongKongers so the food was generally authentic, but I still find Singapore's duck rice better. Man... I miss Singapore's food sooooo darn much. (i.e. shao rou fan, hokkien me, bbq stingray etc)

KKL was already packed with party goers when we started to roam around the fest. Still clueless about what the fest is about, we headed towards to bridge.

I was awe-struck by the humongous rainbow that greeted us across the sky while crossing the bridge. It was stretched out from the casino side of the river all the way to the other side. And the amazing thing was it arched so perfectly like how perfect rainbows should look like. Obviously my small Olympus camera wasn't able to capture the whole thing within a shot, so I took 2 shots and attempted to join the rainbow.
.

.
We headed into the heart of the fest where all I could see was throngs of people and numerous makeshift stalls selling beer, sausage, candy, beer and beer. Oh, did i mention the beer stalls?
.

They had live bands playing at every other random parts of the town and people were crowding around the stage and dancing and singing to the bands. Well, more were listening of course. And there was this adorable little girl who was clapping IN TUNE to the music. So pretty little thing.
.

Not to my surprise, we ran into some familiar faces. Everyone looked so lost though, because every where was crazily packed, so it was exchanging of Hi's, complaning to each other about the crowd and looking and each other wondering where we should head to next.
.

Yes yes, so much for my relentless boasting about being able to have some yummilicious Raclette cheese.
.
THERE WAS NONE IN SIGHT!!
.
Stupid Fat Ninja. Totally cheated my feelings.
.
We happily re-routed towards a stall from far which we thought had the german words 'cheese' written. Alas, it was 'Kasse' not 'Käse'. 'Kasse' means cashier and 'Käse' means cheese.
.
And you know what Fat Ninja said in an attempt to comfort me?
"Its ok, we shall have lots of it during winter."
.
WINTER!?!? For everyone's information, its only summer now. Sigh...
.
.
In conclusion, the Luzerner Fest can simply be summarized with four words;
.
BEER, SAUSAUGES, MUSIC, PEOPLE
.
Oh oh oh, and the queues for 'Toi Toi'.
Tee hee hee.
